On Friday, July 8, Pittsburgh will host the 3rd annual Dancing Classrooms Site Directors Conference at Mercy Behavioral Health‘s South Side office. This is an international event for directors from across the world to come together.
The conference will focus on issues such as board development, fundraising, marketing, social media, school relationships, and the future of school funding. It will also provide an opportunity for networking and information sharing among the cities in attendance.
In addition to site directors, Glenn Devries, Dancing Classrooms New York’s new board president, John Ross, Dancing Classrooms national network director/interim executive director, and Pierre Dulaine, Dancing Classrooms founding director, will be in attendance.
Dulaine will give a a recap of his recent trip to Tel Aviv/Jaffa, Israel where he had Israeli and Palestinian children dancing together.
As of today, the 16 cities that will be represented include: Cleveland, Fort Worth/Dallas, St. Louis, Seattle, Phoenix, Omaha, Philadelphia, New York, Southeast Florida, Western Maryland, Newark, Long Island, Western Louisiana, Winston-Salem, Pittsburgh, and St. John’s-U.S. Virgin Island.
Dancing Classrooms Pittsburgh is honored to host this event. Last year’s conference was held in Omaha, Nebraska.
