Pittsburgh Carmalt students impress parents, teachers

Pittsburgh Carmalt Principal Dr. Sandra Och joins the fun

Dreary skies didn’t stop the families and friends of 75 Pittsburgh Carmalt students from attending their 20th and final lesson of Dancing Classrooms Pittsburgh.  The setting was the school gym and the students were ready to show off their Merengue, Rumba, Tango and Swing.

Renee Irwin, teaching artist, welcomed everyone and the dancing began.  Delighted parents watched their children’s moves while shooting video and snapping photos of  today’s culminating event.

After the fifth graders demonstrated all they’ve learned, the parents got a treat.  It was their turn to join in the dancing with their children.

Even Principal Sandra Och stepped out and joined her students in a dance.
