Pittsburgh Linden dancers light up the floor

Pittsburgh Linden students danced in a sea of orange and white lights and balloons this morning at their 20th and final lesson of Dancing Classrooms Pittsburgh.  Principal Victoria Burgess was all decked out in an orange blazer and  sparkly orange top hat.

To borrow a phrase from Pierre Dulaine, the students “shook what their mama’s gave them.”  The standing-room-only crowd clapped and cheered as the students, under the tutelage of Linden alumnus Kelsey Kizina, Tangoed and Meregued their way through the schools culminating event.  Smiles were plentiful.

To cap off the event, Miss Kelsey announced the names of the six young couples who will be competing for Linden at the Colors of the Rainbow semi-finals on May 7.

Could orange be their lucky color?
